Covid-19 Sandal Drop
It all begins with an idea.
On March 21, 2021, The Sneaker Society partnered with The Watts Community Center, in Watts, Los Angeles, to distribute over a hundred brand new sandals generously donated by local small business Sandalboyz. SandalBoyz is a Los-Angeles based small business that focuses on giving back to the community. For example, in 2017, the company donated all its profits towards helping victims of Hurricane Harvey. Much like The Sneaker Society, SandalBoyz values sustainability and runs a recycling program for its products. In addition, every sandal they produce contains a minimum of 15% post-consumer AVA. Giving back to youth and young adults in underserved communities is a strong focus of this small business, making them a perfect partner for The Sneaker Society.
Covid-19 Sneaker Drop
It all begins with an idea.
On Thursday, January 21, 2021, The Sneaker Society had a BIG day!!! We partnered with The Watts Empowerment Center and Children Mending Hearts charities to distribute over one hundred sneakers to children and young adults in the underserved community of Watts, Los Angeles. With a generous donation from Luke “Mook” Fracher, the designer/owner of esteemed streetwear and resale sneaker boutique empire Round Two in West Hollywood, we were able to bring smiles and comfort to a community hard-hit by the covid-19 pandemic. Thee young adults were able to take home a pair of brand new brand sneakers from Francher’s recent collaboration with Swedish men’s brand Stayhard. It was a wonderful day full of smiles, gratitude and community building.
